Guess what we had for dinner?

Heuvos brouillés à la Patioboat!

But as you can see Mom made sure that no one over did it on the butter and cream, not to mention those cholesterol rich eggs. Those are Paret-Darnay portions there (mostly Darnay, mostly Michelle Darnay portions, in other words, "Starve your kids, pig out yourself on junk food when they've got their backs turned...")

Like the Patioboater, Mom saw Julie and Julia but it had no effect whatsoever on her cooking style which we call : The Art of French Cooking Nouvelle Cuisine style + lots of green pepper and green apples to munch on after dinner so you don't go to bed with your belly empty...

I, Malcolm that is, went to bed with the little Buddha Papa bought for me yesterday afternoon. (You may not know this but I have a little Buddha collection.) Can you see him tucked in between my armpit and my comic book? Let's zoom in...

...Let's put him in some proper light so you can see his lovely rolls of fat properly...

Let's turn him around a bit so you can fully appreciate...

...his pointy little breasts and his lovely round belly! Although Monique called me Gordito when I was born, I'm afraid I will never get as big as this guy on Mom's cooking!

  1. Hi Malcolm, I now understand why Sumo wrestling and Sumo wrestlers are so admired and popular in some parts of the world. Have you ever seen such match? John recently introduced me to this sport via a film he showed, and explaining to me a thing or two. I can now understand the "subtleties" in this sport much better.

As for keeping you kids on a very strict calory intake diet, I think I will soon have a little talk with your Mom...
These unbelievably explosive wrestlers could easily pose for happy little Buddha statues during their resting free time, don't you think?

  2. Oh, you poor, starving children!

Hang in there, Gordito. You'll never make it to Buddah size (I hope!) but your height suggests that you won't fade away soon.

    Love that little Buddha statue.

    Bon appetit!
